“Wave Classic Tour” now becomes “Wave Classic Invitational”…

To avoid any confusion with the WCT surfing tour, but also and especially because we do not wish to claim as a “Tour” that would compete with an already existing world circuit, we decided to rename our project as “invitational”.
Indeed, on the “Wave Classic,” we do not offer prize money, nor laudatory titles but we make our best efforts to invite the riders and offer them in return accommodation, food and transportation on each stage. We claim however that these stages are more of a trip with friends, just to push ever further the limits of waveriding on the best spots in the world, than a true competition.
Obviously, with a smaller number of riders, without official judges or race directors, our budgets are necessarily more limited compared to those of a World Cup stage. For this, all those who trust in the “Wave Classic Invitational” project agree to say that it is unique, no competition with no other circuit, and aspiring to one single thing: to promote windsurfing worldwide thanks to images that make you dream…
